National Iranian Canadian Assembly (NICA) and the Woman, Life, Freedom organization, Iran Lovers, proudly invites you to our upcoming event titled "Empowerment and Resilience: Celebrating the Iranian Women's Movement," which will be held on Thursday, June 6th, at the Canadian Parliament.
This gathering is a unique opportunity to emphasize the important role of women in the cultural and social landscape of Iran, from past to future, and will feature the following diverse segments:
Speeches by civil and human rights activists on the achievements of Iranian women in politics, science, literature, and social activities.
Performances of Iranian folk dances.
Traditional Iranian music by local artists.
A photo exhibition narrating the challenges, restrictions, and hardships faced by Iranian women over the past 45 years.
Our goal is to highlight the achievements of Iranian women despite 45 years of oppression by the Islamic Republic.
This event, attended by politicians, civil and human rights activists, and members of the Iranian-Canadian community, will review and commemorate the progress and ongoing challenges of Iranian women.
